This is the first of three presentations featured during the Fourth Annual Southeast Asia Week (March 10-12). The presentation will address the demographic characteristics of the Indonesian population and the country's economy which make it unique to other Southeast Asian nations. It will also show how these characteristics have lead the country to a constant reworking of its multicultural identity in the last five decades. It is presented by Ms. Asri Saraswati and Ms. Qurratul Aini, graduate students in the departments of American Studies and Economics at the University at Buffalo.
