These are associations of more or less like-minded economists. They often explain their perspectives succinctly and provide interesting links. The largest is the mainstream, American Economics Association, which also maintains the Job Openings for Economists page.
This section includes links to full-text articles and working paper series, data, and research. The goal of WebEc, for example, is to improve communication among all scholars of the economy. Many research institutes and advocacy groups maintain extensive, categorized links, as well.
Research institutes always advocate something. Each has a particular economic or social, political, or philosophical perspective. Many explicitly advocate for this perspective.
Sources of economic and financial news, informed opinion, and advocacy. Useful research as well as argumentation can often be found in both news and advocacy sites.
